Currituck County, North Carolina began in 1668 as a precinct of Albemarle County that covered the top portion of the coast of North Carolina at the time of creation. In 1739, Currituck became a county and has been ever since. These wills are kept in the Secretary of State's Office in Raleigh, NC.
