This is the first surviving census for Brunswick, since both the 1790 and 1800 censuses have been lost. The original is in a very poor state of preservation; however, the transcriber was able to recover the majority of the faded names, with only six unreadable entries. (The computerized version available on the Web contains 204 out of 608 unreadable entries, along with other transcription errors!).
