Bedford County, located in middle Tennessee on the Duck and Stones River, was created in 1807 from Rutherford County and named for Thomas Bedford, an American Revolutionary War veteran and large landowner in the area. This volume lists the names of the bride and groom as well as the bondsman and clerk with the name of the official for the wedding. The two dates when the license was issued and when the wedding took place is also given. The title of the official is noted also.
