McDonald County, located in the very southwestern corner of Missouri, was created in 1849 and named for Sergeant Alexander McDonald, a soldier from the American Revolutionary War. Entries in this volume are taken from Marriage Record Book A, including marriage date, groom, and bride, as well as the names of the ministers and justices who officiated. The tax list includes name, township, and whether a Confederate veteran, if known.
