Marion County, Missouri, located on the Mississippi River, was the mother county to Lewis, Clark, Shelby, Knox, Ralls and Scotland counties. The county seat of Marion was platted in 1819 with a post road and mail service established in that year. Entries in this volume are taken from Marriage Record Books A and B, including marriage date, groom, and bride, as well as the names of the ministers and justices who officiated.
