Deed books should always be consulted when doing genealogical research. This volume contains records from Essex County, Virginia Deed Book 18, 1724-1728, beginning on page 1 through page 380, for courts held 20 October 1724 through 17 December 1728. Records generally include the full names of all persons involved in the transaction (grantor, grantee, witnesses, and court officials), sum paid, description and location of property, date of transaction and date recorded.
