The Pritchard Family History: The Virginia Line from Thomas, Jamestown Immigrant, Third Edition [2 volumes]

$69.00

With Related Families of Tichenell, Nestor, and Meredith

This third edition of the fourteen-generation Pritchard Family History contains a great many additions, among them several new related lines including Wass, Freeland, and Keefover. It is greatly improved from the previous edition because each person listed who has offspring is numbered, making it easier to trace individual lines. Best of all, some of the early questions have been solved and new links forged. The first section of the book deals with the Virginia Pritchards, beginning in 1620 with Thomas, a Jamestown immigrant. The second section chronicles the Pritchard journey westward and the related families of Tichnell, Nestor, and Meredith. Each section contains a list of sources, including court records, deed books, marriage records, cemeteries, tax rolls, genealogical societies, land grants and death records. The author carefully makes connections and references to numerous other family names and supporting documents throughout this book. She also notes when information is sketchy or disputed and offers when appropriate, alternative or likely conclusions. Maps and pictures are placed throughout, and the book includes a full name index.
